I recently wrapped up a custom shower installation for a client, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. The shower features 2x6 glazed porcelain tiles stacked vertically on the walls and a stunning recycled glass mosaic floor. The finished look is clean, modern, and full of texture—perfect for a spa-like experience.
Materials & Design Choices
For the shower walls, I used 2x6 glazed porcelain tiles in a vertical stack layout to give the space height and a sleek, modern style. This layout also helps water flow efficiently and makes the shower feel more open. On the floor, we went with a recycled glass mosaic tile, which adds vibrant detail and slip resistance. The client chose a neutral color palette to keep the design timeless while adding a little personality with the glass textures. To finish it off, I installed a quartz trim throughout the shower, giving it a polished, high-end feel.
Heated Bathroom Floor
One of the standout features in this project was the heated bathroom floor using porcelain hexagon mosaic tile. It’s always rewarding to give a client a touch of luxury—especially here in New York where those winters can be rough.
Final Thoughts
I love how every element came together in this job. Clean lines, practical design, and quality materials make a huge difference. If you’re looking to upgrade your bathroom or want to bring a unique tile concept to life, feel free to reach out—I’d be glad to help.
